What is a "cloud"?
You have probably gathered that in the case of technology clouds are not the those accumulations of water in the sky.
Here they mean a place to store stuff on the internet. You can save your documents, photos etc. on you PC/Smartphone/Laptop/... . But all of these devices have finite storage and only you can access them. If you are working on any kind of group project (f.e. sharing photos with your friends from the last holiday) you can put them in the cloud and everyone you want to access these photos can do so. In addition these photos don't overfill the storage on your device.
